Mark Tewksbury
Mark Tewksbury was first known as an Olympic swimming gold medalist but is defined by his numerous achievements, leadership, and contributions to society. In 1998, he made headlines when he came out as one of the first openly gay Olympic champions. He was an honoured guest when the first Declaration to decriminalize homosexuality was introduced at the UN in 2008. Since 2009, Mark has sat on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Canada.
